A fresh pair of two goodlooking actors , good music , a bit of humour and a plot similar to a hollywood movie, is what the lighthearted rom-com ,Baar Baar Dekho is all about.

This movie is a story about Jay Varma,a math genius and Diya Kapoor,an artist, childhood sweethearts who decide to get married. Two days before their wedding ,Jay gets cold feet and breaks up with Diya, and he is sent to the future.

The first half of the movie is gripping, but the second half makes the audience think that the director was forced to stretch the movie. Siddharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif look more like best friends than a “in love” couple and the ending leaves the audience confused.

The music of the movie is really catchy and Kala Chashma , has already topped the charts. The dialogues of the movie are well written by Anvita Dutt. The story lacks power but its a new concept in bollywood.

It is great to finally watch Katrina Kaif as an artist in an Indian avatar, though she seems to be failing in the emotional scenes. Siddharth Malhotra as the confused lover and a math genius does justice to the role , although his performance is not as great as in Kapoor and SonsĀ .

Ram Kapoor as the Punju father is amazing, though the movie is only focussed on the main leads but he adds the needed pun to the scenes. Sarika and Rajit Kapoor have performed their roles well but they have not been utilized properly,

Altogether, the movie is a one time watch and makes us feel Nitya Mehra could have done better. It is a movie for the lovestruck audience. Kala Chashma and Katrina’s abs are the two things that you are definitely going to remember once you leave the theatre hall.
