NAAC has identified the following seven criteria to serve as the basis of its assessment procedures:

- Research, Consultancy and Extension
- Infrastructure and Learning Resources
- Student Support and Progression
- Governance, Leadership and Management
- Innovations and Best Practices
This year, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) got the highest CGPA of 3.65, followed by Lady Shri Ram College For Women who secured a CGPA of 3.61 and Kirori Mal College, which got a CGPA of 3.54 and all of them achieved an A+ grade. KMC’s grading has astonished everybody and the college staff gives the whole credit to the new officiating Principal, Mr. Dinesh Khattar. He says, “It is a historic moment for us. We worked really hard for this – each and every teacher, including the non-teaching staff took the initiative. It would be unfair on my part if I don’t mention the efforts put in by our students, who too helped in making our college achieve this high grade.”
KMC’s campus has been made more disabled friendly now as wheelchairs have been made available and plus, the ramps have been constructed as well.
Some other colleges which were awarded with an A Grade are:
SGTB Khalsa – CGPA 3.41
Kamla Nehru College – CGPA 3.33
Maitreyi College – CGPA 3.11
College of Vocational Studies – CGPA 3.05
The NAAC Grading Procedure always manages to bring along a lot of discipline and regulation in the college functioning & Delhi University has time and again proved that it’s one of the best learning institutions in the country!
