Bollywood-the major drama and entertainment industry which provides us with so much spice in our life, from what is going in their personal lives to who is going on top and who wins what. Well it’s been hell of a week for the entertainment industry from the national awards being announced to putting up for nationalism, to taking a gig at a society through a comedy movie.
64th National Awards “Rustom”, “Pink”, “Neerja” and many more fly high colours-
From Akshay Kumar to Sonam Kapoor to Soojit Sircar to Marathi film directors all won the national awards and took to the social media to show the gratitude for the appreciation of their work. Akshay kumar won the best actor award for his court room drama “rustom”, while sonam Kapoor received a special mention for her acting in “neerja”, both were quite surprised and elated and coincidently they were working together for a film ”padman” when they received this news. Rajesh Mapuskar won the best director for Marathi film “ventilator”, produced by Priyanka chopra and her mother Dr. Madhu chopra. Also another Marathi film took to its success, “kasaav”, directed by Sunil Sukhtankar and Sumitra Bhave, was named the best feature film. Also Amitabh bachchan and tapsee pannu starrer, “pink” sore with high colours as well, directed by Soojit Sircar won a female-centric court room drama, as the best film on social issues. Sonam Kapoor starrer “neerja” bagged the best Hindi film award, the film’s producer, Atul Kasbekar was too elated and happy. The award ceremony is on 3rd may and the list is too long still.
Aamir Khan all for Nationalism
Aamir Khan’s biopic on the Phogat sister’s after doing wonders everywhere was ready to do fly high in Pakistan as well but the Censor board of Pakistan asked to cut out the two scenes from the movie before its release. They wanted the scene showing India’s flag and the scene where national anthem plays to be cut from the movie. However aamir khan rising up for his country, took to his feet and said no he would step a foot down on this one, and wouldn’t release the movie without these two scenes. Don’t know whether it’s his guilt from earlier or actually he feel for the country, but it’s appreciable that the actor is back to somewhat his senses. It’s good to see the nationalistic aamir khan back.
Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar’s romance took to Twitter and people can’t gushing about it
Twinkle Khanna as usual with her bold statements and slaying with the truth, is proud of hubby akshay kumar on his winning the national award and was all head over heels with her tweet, which goes something like this, I don’t know if I am crying or laughing-emotions all over the place-so proud of you @akshaykumar you smart, humble, amazing creature.
Irrfan Khan’s “Hindi Medium” is a complete slapstick comedy taking a dig at the country’s obsession with English
The trailer of the movie will leave in laughter at first and then would urge you to think about this serious issue, if this much buzz can be created by the trailer and then imagine what the movie will do. The movie is all about the struggle of a couple to teach their daughter and make her study in a English medium school that she would not have to go to hardships of life for not knowing the language, as she says in the trailer, “iss country mein English sirf zabaan nhi hai, class hai, aur calss mein rehna hai to English medium school mein to jana padega.” The movie overall raises quite a serious issue with using comedy as its technique. Plus Irrfan’s acting is always a high point. Waiting for it desperately.
So all the buzz-feed of this week of Bollywood digged up,the mystic Bollywood always surprises you in its own way and is part of your life whether you want it or not. This is all from the entertainment sector this week.
