Seats Still Vacant In Many DU Colleges,Third Cut off To Provide Some Relief

Delhi University will declare third cut off list on the night of 10th July 2016 and admissions for third cut off will begin from 11th July 2016.

There are just a few seats that remain for courses such as Political Science (Hons), English (Hons), Economics (Hons)¬†and the BA programme, so the cut off for these subjects will remain the same. For Hindi and Sanskrit, as large numbers of seats are left, the cut off will come down” Savita Roy, Principal Daulat Ram College told Hindustan Times.

Shri Ram College of Commerce has 40 empty seats, Hansraj College has 465 empty seats, Kamala Nehru College has 384 empty seats, Hindu College has 100 empty seats, Ramjas College has 734 empty seats and Daulat Ram College has 64 empty seats,according to India Today.

The third cut off list will offer seats in popular courses like B Com(Hons),Philosophy (Hons)¬†and Psychology (Hons).Surprisingly, this time the inclination has been more towards social sciences and only two admissions have been done so far in B Com (Hons). There would be a 1.5 per cent dip in the third cut off” Rita Malhotra, principal, Kamala Nehru College told Hindustan Times.

Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (ARSD) might maintain the same cut off as the second list for History, Political Science and Hindi.

Lady Shri Ram College for Women will come up with their third cut off list. Sociology (Hons) and Hindi (Hons),which were closed in the second list, will remain closed, the other courses will be available.

“The cut off for History and Economics will see a dip in the third list. As we are almost about to fill seats for Physics (Hons)mistry (Hons), the dip in cut off will be marginal” Anju Srivastava,Principal Hindu College told Hindustan Times.
