Delhi University is likely to come out with only five cut-off lists this year, unlike previous years when the varsity came out with nine or even 10 cutoff lists to fill seats in various colleges. The decision is aimed at reducing admissions over and above the number of seats.
“To limit over admission, we have decided to only come out with five cutoff lists. Most of the colleges fill their seats in various courses by the fifth list. If there are any seats left in any course after that then the college will come out with its own cutoff list and students will have to apply at the individual college again,” a committee member said.
“Colleges will have to get the criteria approved by the university before imposing it on students for admission. Only those students who have filled centralized online admission form will be considered. No fresh registration will be done,” another committee member said.

Candidates are required to note that  the Colleges will also be allowed to impose certain criteria for admissions after the first five cutoff lists. If more than two students meet the cutoff and criteria imposed, then the class 10 score of the students will be considered for admission.
