However, an institute for journalism which also got consent at the same time has opened and started functioning as well. So why don’t this one?

There is not only a single reason for this, the delay is because of more than one reason as stated.

As said by the course incharge, ” The permission is likely to be receive from UGC for this. Letters have also been written but it’s still pending”.

“According to rules, a course should first be started as a department but this course of cyber security and law was going to be started as a diploma. So, in hurry some mistake may undergo that’s why it is require to be check it and think on it”, as said by Rajesh Jha, who is a council member.

But source says something else. This course was going to be self financed and because of which it got opposition from the teachers and students. Still, Journalism course is also self financed.

Well what might be the reason, the hindrances should be removed and course should be started at the earliest. Students who have studied cyber crime as a subject might have realised that practical knowledge is very much necessary in this field and keeping this importance in mind, we hope that course will be started soon and students will gain practical knowledge in this field also.
