This posture is popularly known as the “Hands-on-Hips” posture. It conveys confidence and power. It also means independence. It makes you look bigger since you cover more space than you would when standing straight. Sometimes aggression, but mostly it is a sign of fearlessness.

This posture signifies passivity, since it hides a part of your body from the person standing in front of you.
