In a meeting last Thursday, the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor consented to various demands of the students union. This meeting was a result of huge protests by Students Union earlier last week. A petition was also filed by the protesting students.
ABVP’s Delhi State Secretary Sidharth Yadav mentioned that following a four hour meeting, the officials had agreed to immediately implement four of the demands put forward by the DUSU.
As per the statement, the VC has assured to act as soon as possible on demands like timely declaration of re-evaluation and re-checking result, building new reading halls, installation of air conditioners, starting a centralised hostel admission process and formation of a committee that looks into the options of conducting supplementary examination.
