Delhi University Gets Institute Of Eminence (IoE) Tag

On 2^nd August 2019, the Union Government granted the Institute of Eminence (IoE) status to 14 institutions of higher education in India including Delhi University. This would give these institutions more autonomy in academics, administration and finances.

The HRD ministry picked out seven private and seven public institutions for this IoE tag, which was given to them after the approval from the University Grants Commission.

After receiving this tag, Delhi University will now be given an assistance of Rs. 1000 crore for a period of five years for improving itself.

This indeed is a proud moment for every Delhi University student.
