After a long period of wait, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has finally released its guidelines, asking the universities and the institutions to conduct terminal semester/year examinations by the end of September 2020. The examinations have been mandated in pen and paper (offline), online, and both offline and online modes.
The Union HRD Minister also clarified that the intermediate year students will be graded on the Internal Assessments. The examinations for the final year students were originally scheduled for the month of July, but would now be conducted by the end of September.
2. Evaluation of the terminal semester students which was to be done through examinations in the month of July, now their examinations will be conducted by the end of September-2020, following the guidelines laid down by @MoHFW_INDIA for #COVIDー19.

The UGC guidelines also mentioned that the final year students with arrears have to compulsorily appear for the examinations, as per feasibility and suitability. The students, who are unable to appear for the examinations, will be given another opportunity later as a one-time measure.Â
