DU Admissions 2017 :¬†The online admission process for Undergraduate Courses in Delhi University’s School Of Open Learning will begin from June 1,as per a TOI report. Last date to apply is July 31,students can apply after paying a penalty fee of Rs 100 till August 31 and Rs 200 till September 15.
SOL is the most preferred choice of students who wish to pursue Correspondence education at undergraduate and postgraduate level.The admission process for various courses in the SOL is governed by the norms established by the University of Delhi.DU confers the degree to the students of the school as it does in the case of its other constituent Colleges.
“Last year approximately 1.4 lakh students had enrolled in the five undergraduate courses,” said HC Pokhriyal,executive director of SOL.
Courses offered by the School Of Open Learning:
Undergraduate Courses : B.A.(Hons) English, B.A.(Hons) Political Science, B.A. (Program), B.Com./B.Com.(Hons)
Postgraduate Courses : M.A. Hindi, M.A. History, M.A. Political Science,M.A. Sanskrit,M.Com
“Students who apply for B.Com Often pursue Chartered Accountancy (CA) or Company Secretary (CS) courses alongside.Students pursuing B.A.(Hons) often opt for fashion designing or fine art courses.This way they can specialise in multiple courses within the years,” TOI quoted on administrative official at SOL.
DU SOL Admissions Documents:
- Recent passport size photograph.
- Self attested photocopy of 10th,12th mark sheet.
- Self attested photocopy of Reserve category certificate.
- Class 12th original Provisional Certificate.
- Class 12th original Migration Certificate(candidates who have passed out 12th from other boards like HBSE/UPBSE/NIOS)
- Latest original Income certificate.If applying for fee concession.
- Self attested photocopy of BPL Ration Card and Income Certificate for Financial assistance.
NOTE: Candidates can have all original documents with themselves at the time of admission.
