5% of the total intake in each course in DU is under the Sports and ECA quota.With the admission process about to start soon,make sure you are well aware of admission through Sports quota.
Application-
This year students who are aiming to get into DU through sports quota would be required to fill the centralized optical mark registration (OMR) form,apart from applying to colleges of their choice according to media reports.
Documents-
Students have to submit winning or participation certificate.The candidate should have been active in the sport recognized by IOA and AIU for the past three years.Preference would be given to sports in which Inter-College and Inter-University Events are held.
Test-
There would be a two level test.First,a fitness test.A certificate would be given to those students who qualify.This would be followed by trials.
Qualification criteria-
Fifty marks are for the trials and 50 for the winning and participation certificates.A student has to get minimum 25 marks in the trials to get admission under sports quota.
Direct admission-
Direct admission is possible without trials for those students who have participated in Olympic games,Asian games,World Championships,Commonwealth Games and Paralympic Games.
Weightage-
Students with winning/participation certificates at International,National,State,Zonal and School level would be given weightage.
