It is the story of the unquashable human spirit.

4. Angrezi Medium

Angrezi Medium is a sequel to 2017’s critically acclaimed and commercially successful Hindi medium and marks the return of our beloved Irfan Khan to the silver screen after his battle with terminal illness. It stars Kareena Kapoor presented as a female cop and Radhika Madan as Kuhu, Irfan Khan’s daughter from Hindi Medium who has now grown up and entered an Angrezi medium college.

The storyline is yet not revealed but I expect it to be another bittering reply to our hypocritical society.

5. Sooryavanshi

Releasing just a week after Angrezi Medium, Sooryavanshi is meant to introduce Akshay Kumar as the third cop after Singham starring Ajay Devgn and Simba starring Ranveer Singh. Also, it stars Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal!

7. Bhuj : The Pride of India

Based on a fascinating true war  time story, set during the Indo-Pak war in 1971 gives us glimpses into the life of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik (played by Ajay Devgn), the then in-charge of the Bhuj airport who and his team reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 local Gujrati women.

The movie seems to instill a sense of patriotism in hearts of the audience.

8. Gangubai Kathiawadi

Based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, the movie is about Gangubai Kathiawadi, a brothel owner and the matriarch of Kamathipura. It narrates the story of the protagonist who as a young woman is betrayed into prostitution and later turns into one of its biggest champions — and wealthiest benefactors — but retains a soft spot for young women forced into the trade. With a young talented actress, Alia Bhatt playing the lead role, it will be interesting to see how the movie unfolds.

Release date : 11th September 2020

The movie line up shows that our film makers are now more indulged in portraying real life  heroes and their stories of struggle. Also signifying that they have moved on from the cliche rom-coms and now depicting the real and bringing important social issues in the limelight.
