The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has announced the CBSE board results for class 12th on its official website – cbse.nic.in

Nearly 18 lakh students had a nerve-wracking wait for their results, given the pandemic situation and the fact that many exams were cancelled.

Earlier on June 26, CBSE had informed the Supreme Court that the results for the pending examination would be derived based on the student’s performance – his/her internal assessments and previous examinations. The Board also gave the students an option to appear in pending exams to improve scores after conditions are favorable.

It has been made clear that the students who have appeared in more than 3 subjects in the board examinations, for them an average of the marks obtained in the best 3 performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.

CBSE issued a comment, saying, “There are very few students of class 10, mainly from Delhi, who have appeared in the examinations in only one or two subjects. Their results will be declared based on performance in the appeared subjects and performance in internal/practical project assessment”.

Students will also be able to check through IVRS telephone numbers and mobile applications with the technical support of National Informatics Centre (NIC), Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This year, students need not visit their schools or zonal office to collect their results; however, the students will get a digital mark sheet this year that can be downloaded from the DigiLocker app.

The Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ took to Twitter to announce and congratulate students regarding the same.

“Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers! @cbseindia29 has announced the results of Class XII and can be accessed at https://cbseresults.nic.in. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate, Student’s health & quality education are our priority,” said Pokhriyal in his tweet.
