Clean Chit Given To DU Professor Nandini Sundar In Murder Case

According to a news report ,the Chhattisgarh police has exonerated Delhi University professor Nandini Sundar and 6 others in connection with the murder of an adivasi man in Sukma in 2016.

Nandini and others were accused of murdering an adivasi man, Shamnat Baghel. The victim was a resident of Nama village in Sukma district.

Along with Sundar, 5 others who were booked include professor Archana Prasad, Vineet Tiwari of the Joshi Adhikari Institute of Social Studies , the Communist Party of India Chhattisgarh Chief Sanjay Parate, local Sarpanch Manju Kawasi and Mangla Ram Verma, a villager.

According to Sundar,” It was clear that the initial charges were vindictive , coming almost immediately after the CBI chargesheeted special police officers for violence in Tadmelta. We hope that all the ordinary innocent adivasis will also experience the same justice that we got” she added.
