The Department of Management and Financial Studies, SRCASW, organized their Annual Technical Fest, IIDAIRA’18, on October 12, 2018, an occasion embarked by adventure, ecstasy and wits. The day was lined up with several technical events with a pinch of amusing twists, while the evening witnessed a regale of knowledge and cheer with the Star Event. After a month of tenacity and diligent hard work of all the students along with the constant encouragement from the faculty members, IIDAIRA’18 was an august realization. The technical events provided students and enthusiasts a platform to display their potential and test their knowledge and with the Keynote Address on the topic “New Economics for a New India”, Mr.Sanjeev Sanyal, Principal Economic Advisor, Govt. of India, brought interesting insights and umpteen cognizances straight from the horse’s mouth. The day ended with the Standup Comedy Show by Mr.Aakash Gupta filling the Auditorium with giggles.

THE BIZWIZARD TOURNAMENT
From Bitcoins to Birla Group and Soft Bank to Sensex, THE BIZWIZARD TOURNAMENT was the business quiz to test the overall potential of the participants. The quiz was held in the seminar room of the college and a large number of students came armed with their knowledge in teams of two. The quiz had four rounds, each evaluating a different aspect of the participants’ abilities. Round one was the preliminary round, round two being for textual questions, round three was for visual assessment and the final round marked an audiovisual round. The two winning teams were rewarded with prizes worth Rs.7,000 while some of the audience members were also presented with some exciting prizes. 
AD-VENTURE
Ad-Venture, the ad making competition, was to nudge the art of ad making and acting, with participants staging self composed ads around day to day brands and products, blending creativity to brew wits in the form of enactment, taglines and jingles. In rounds of two, the contestants were given 5-8 minutes to create an ad for a specific product and perform it as esteemed judges- Mr. Deepak and Mrs.Sanjana Monga, announced the results at the end. Two teams won the first and the second position and were rewarded with exciting gift vouchers and cash prizes. The event was held in the seminar room and was a success, with duly redefining the conventional way of expressing oneself, with creativity. 
LUDO MEGALOMANIA
Held in the foyer area of the college in two time slots, the game had participants playing on a 14X14 ft. ludo board that caught everybody’s attention. But that was not all. With elements like share capital, investments, bank notes and properties to own and buy, it was designed to imitate a real market and made for an exciting game. 
16 players (4 teams, 4 members in each troupe) played the game at a time. The participants had a lot of fun. There was a great deal of inter-college interaction since teams were formed of different colleges. Both the winning teams were felicitated with exciting prizes worth Rs.5,000 
BULL RUN
Strategize, analyze and negotiate. The event was designed as a mock model of real time stock market in two rounds. The event was held in the conference hall of the college and saw active participation of a large number of enthusiasts. The cumulative result of both the rounds was calculated at the end and three teams won consecutive positions. 
OH SNAP!
OH SNAP! , was the online photography competition organized with an objective of engaging with a like-minded audience through social media. The theme of the competition was “Idea of India”, and the purpose was to welcome eccentric and remarkable interpretations of the same, with participants being encouraged to express their Idea of India with an original photograph. The competition received over 20 entries through Facebook and Instagram and our esteemed judge for the event- Mr. Mayank Jain, selected two for the 1st and the 2nd position and the winners were rewarded with prizes worth Rs. 5,000
MEME IT!
MEME IT! , the meme making competition was organized to celebrate the growing popularity of memes and to look at the fields of management and finance with an amusing approach. The theme was to create memes related to the fields of management/finance/economics and one best entry, as selected by esteemed judge, Mr.Akshat Nain, was rewarded with prizes worth Rs.5,000.

And Standup Comedy by Mr. Aakash gupta
As the lively day approached an end, the Keynote Address on the topic “New Economics for a New India” by Mr. Sanjeev Sanyal, enlightened the audience with a vibrant discussion on topics ranging from GST to Indian Education System and the one hour standup comedy show by Aakash Gupta thrilled the audience and the entire auditorium doubled up with laughter.
