Now, the main question is- What precautions can one take to protect themselves from this frigid weather ?

First and foremost, wear layers of thick warm clothes. For this, one can include warm inner-wears, thick t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, socks, hand gloves etc. In this manner, the body will be protected by the cold and one will be warm.

Second hack is to exercise at least for 1 hour. This is because being physically active during winters helps in keeping one warm and boosts the immune system, improving defence against seasonal ailments like fever and cold.

The third precaution which one can take against winters is drink required amount of warm water every day and stay hydrated.

The fourth step to prevent oneself from winters is to have a good amount of sleep, which for adults is 8 hours. This helps in keeping the body’s immune system healthy and also helps in eliminating stress hormone cortisol.

Another precaution which one can take to fight against winters is to go outside and soak in the warm sun. This is because, scientifically Vitamin D is very important for human body and in winters, one may face deficiency of Vitamin D which may hamper in maintaining a good health and immunity.

Last but not the least, one must eat a balanced diet in winters in order to boost the immune system.

So, do enjoy the cold winters but also take care of your health!
