Delhi University Issues Order To Extend Dispersal of Classes By Two More Weeks

With no permission to open any schools, colleges, universities or educational institutions during the 4th edition of the nationwide lockdown, the University of Delhi on Monday issued an ‘Office Order’, saying that “the University shall remain closed for a further period of two weeks with effect from 18.05.2020 for containment of COVID-19 pandemic.”

The notice requested all the employees to install the Aarogya Setu app in their “compatible mobile phones”. The notice has been issued by the University in compliance to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The notice also mentions that during this extension of dispersal of classroom teaching, the e-learning process will continue. The University requested Departments and Colleges to provide basic reading material to students through their respective websites. It also mentions that the University website provides the details of various learning resources and VPN connection for students and teachers to access the Library resources from home  so as to not interrupt their teaching-learning process.
