Delhi University amid the lockdown caused due to the coronavirus outbreak has come up with a social initiative to help the needy. Recently, ‘DU Care for Neighbour’ was launched with the target to provide adequate food to the underprivileged section living in the North and South Campus.

A special task force has also been formed with representatives from diverse backgrounds who are interacting virtually on a regular basis to discuss the problems faced by people, the solutions with their viability, and proper implementation. The alumni have also been asked for their support and help their alma mater in all the forms without really being on the ground.

This is the second time that the University has asked its alumni for support. Earlier in the initial period of lockdown, the University ensured that they will not let the coronavirus hamper the ‘pursuit of knowledge’ and will re-think its ways of functioning, for which contributions are required from the students.
