Delhi University Student Robbed After Attending College Fest

On 18th February, a student of Delhi University got robbed near Rajiv Chownk. According to the complainant, three men robbed Rs. 5,000 and a mobile phone from him after they offered him a ride in their car.

The victim has been identified as Rajat Yadav from Bhondsi. This mishappening took place on Sunday around 12:15 AM when the victim was on his way home after attending his college fest.

As per the complaint that has been lodged, Rajat was waiting for public transport outside Rajiv Chownk metro station when a Maruti Suzuki Swift stopped by with three men inside. He assumed the men as passengers and asked the driver to drop him to Bhondsi. They took away his cash and mobile phone at gunpoint and dropped him near Sohna before fleeing.

Manoj, assistant sub-inspector, Sadar Police Station has registered the case under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code. He informed that the investigation is going on and the robbers will soon be identified and arrested.
