University of Delhi: Swami Shraddhanand College of the University of Delhi has released a notification for the IIIrd year students of the college “to take their library clearances from June 03, 2020, to June 10, 2020”. This notice was released amidst the Covid-19 cases spiking up in the National Capital.

The students have been asked to submit their “textbooks, SAF books and other library dues” failing which they shall not be entitled to take the examination. The college has also mentioned that the books be in a good condition which would, otherwise, lead to disciplinary action as per the rules. The overdue fine, if any, will be charged up to March 08, 2020, as it was the last working day before the mid-semester break and the subsequent nationwide lockdown.

This comes at a time when the fatality rates have been on a rise in the country following the easing of the restrictions imposed by the lockdown. This, also, poses a major worry for the out-stationed students who might not be able to reach the college for the timely submission of the books. The health hazards involving inter-city or inter-state travel can also not be ignored during such crucial times.
