DTC Pass Now Valid In AC Buses,Finally!

There is good news for students in Delhi. In the latest letter issued by the Delhi Government, the government has extended the Student Concessional Bus Pass Facility to the AC buses as well. The order was passed by the Delhi Government today (i.e) November 17 vide letter no. TR/1/130/2018/4192.

The concessional rates were earlier applicable for the non-AC buses only.Students would now be able to use their Student Passes to travel in the air conditioned buses as well. The Student Concessional Passes are provided by Delhi Transport Corporate, DTC.Three plans – Monthly Destination, All Route Passes and All Route (Special) is available for Rs. 100, Rs. 100 and Rs. 150 respectively. This pass, however was only applicable for Non AC buses.

The Delhi government has started implementing its decision to allow concessional passes for students.The passes that cost Rs 100 per month were so far allowed only in non-AC buses in the city run by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and cluster buses of Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot Friday said a notification validating the concessional student passes in air-conditioned buses has been issued and implemented.The facility will benefit students of the Delhi government’s educational institutions besides those in institutions run by the municipal corporations and the central government.
