So, the wait is finally over.Delhi University started its admission process for Post-Graduate,MPhil and PhD courses tonight at 8 PM.
After much confusion and rescheduling of the starting date, the varsity has come to a firm decision. The DU admission process for the same had to start from June 7 but it had been delayed to today.
The revised schedule for DU PG Admission 2017 is as follow-
Starting Date for Registration for Post Graduate Courses: June 12,2017
Last Date for registration: June 20,2017
Therefore,the applicant can go forth to register and fill up the form.The process to apply for these programmes remains the same.
The applicant can find the online registration window on the official website of University of Delhi i.e., du.ac.in.
Regarding the PG entrance examination of this year for postgraduate and research courses,the University declared that the exams will be conducted in the offline mode and in 6 locations,including Delhi and Varanasi.
There are about 9,000-10,000 seats at the postgraduate level in courses such as MA, MSc and Master in Computer Applications (MCA) out of which 50% have been reserved for students who have completed their undergraduate degree from DU and will be based on the marks scored by them in their undergraduate courses.
And,the remaining 50% seats are given to applicants who clear entrance exams or the interview,which is conducted after the entrance exams in some departments.
There are 72 subjects at the postgraduate level for which the entrance exams have to take place. The starting date for these exams is likely to be July 1 and extend till July 6.
