The press release read, “All eligible applicants are informed that the last date of the online registration process of all the courses (UG, PG, M.Phil., PhD programs, etc.) has been extended up to 05:00 p.m. 31st July 2020.” Apart from this, the other terms and conditions mentioned in the BOIs will remain unchanged.
According to the registration data updated at 11 pm on July 19, 2020, the university has already received 4,50,580 registrations for admissions to under-graduate, 1,69,976 to post-graduate and 30,520 to MPhil/PhD courses that are far higher than the registrations received last year. Due to a higher number of applicants and more students receiving above 90%, the university is expected to release higher cut-offs.

The decision was taken in the wake of pending results of various state boards, though CBSE has recently announced the results of Class 12. A member of the University’s admission committee during the meeting on Saturday said, “While the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) recently announced the results of Class 12, some state boards are yet to announce the results. The committee has decided to further extend the last date of registration to July 31 and give some more time to the students.”
