The University of Delhi on Saturday issued a notification mentioning a further extension of the last date of registration for admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD courses till July 31, 2020. The university had started the application procedure on June 20, 2020, till July 4, 2020, but the last date of registrations was earlier extended till July 18, 2020.
The students who are interested in registering themselves for admissions at DU but haven’t registered yet can apply on the admission portal at du.ac.in. Seeing the ongoing situation, the entire process of DU Admissions 2020-21 is taking place online. Check the following link to know the major changes in the admission procedure 2020-21.
The press release read, “All eligible applicants are informed that the last date of the online registration process of all the courses (UG, PG, M.Phil., PhD programs, etc.) has been extended up to 05:00 p.m. 31st July 2020.” Apart from this, the other terms and conditions mentioned in the BOIs will remain unchanged.
According to the registration data updated at 11 pm on July 19, 2020, the university has already received 4,50,580 registrations for admissions to under-graduate, 1,69,976 to post-graduate and 30,520 to MPhil/PhD courses that are far higher than the registrations received last year. Due to a higher number of applicants and more students receiving above 90%, the university is expected to release higher cut-offs.

The decision was taken in the wake of pending results of various state boards, though CBSE has recently announced the results of Class 12. A member of the University’s admission committee during the meeting on Saturday said, “While the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) recently announced the results of Class 12, some state boards are yet to announce the results. The committee has decided to further extend the last date of registration to July 31 and give some more time to the students.”
