DU Colleges steal the show at Enactus Nationals 2016

Delhi University proved its mettle yet again with top DU Colleges stealing the show at The Enactus India National Competition 2016. 

The two day grand competition was held on 21-22 July, 2016 at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai.¬†

The panel of judges included the likes of dignitaries from PAN India, Richard Rekhy – CEO KPMG, Sanjeev Mehta – MD and CEO HUL, Krish Iyer – CEO of Walmart India Pvt. Ltd, Prashant Ranade – Executive Vice Chariman, Syntel and Dr. Alvin Rohrs, President and CEO Enactus Worldwide.

A total of 73 teams participated out of which, 24 were from University of Delhi.

The opening round had the teams divided into leagues. Each team presented their projects and the initiatives taken up by them in the past year. Winning teams then qualified into the Semi Final Round, of which three finalists were selected to move forward to the prestigious final round of competition.

Out of the 10 Semi-Finalists, 5 belonged to Delhi University, which were-

  • Shri Ram College of Commerce
  • St. Stephen’s College¬†
  • Delhi College of Arts and Commerce
  • Ramjas College
  • Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies

Enactus SRCC and Enactus SSCBS made it to the finals, along with IIT Delhi. 

Finally, Enactus Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies was titled as the winner of the Nationals 2016 and will be representing India at The Enactus World Cup, to be held in September 2016, at Toronto. 

SSCBS has made Delhi University proud once again. We wish them good luck for the World Cup and hope they’ll bring laurels for DU as well as India.¬†
