A joint student delegation of AISA, SFI, KYS, Pinjra Tod, etc. met Dr. Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, Joint Secretary at the University Grants Commission (UGC) to demand the abrogation of the Open Book Examinations (OBE). The students asked for ‘an immediate intervention’ of the UGC in the matter by highlighting a plethora of grievances of the students and therefore demanded promotion of the terminal year students on the basis of aggregate marks.
The University postponed the OBE by 10 days which led to confusion and chaos among the students. The delegation, therefore, asked for immediate relief to the students as the mock tests will begin from July 04 and the OBE will begin from July 10.
The UGC assured the delegation of addressing the grievances of the students but declined to provide a deadline to release new guidelines.
