DU Exams 2020 : University Issues Guidelines For Conducting Exams

DU Exams 2020 : A recent notification by the Delhi University in reference to conduct of examinations for the final semester/ term/ year for the session 2019-2020 was released in the view of COVID-19.

In the notification, the university informed that all concerned examinations for final semester/ year/ term students for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses including the examinations for SOL and non colligate women education board (NCWEB) shall commence from the 1st of July 2020.

The university also stated that in case the situation did not seem to be normal in the view of COVID-19, the university will adopt an alternate mode of examination i.e., Open Book Examination (OBE) for the final year students of all UG, PG and other academic programs. the OBE shall be conducted along with arrears (ER) of the previous semester/term/ year. this alternate method would be taken to ensure all the social distancing norms, safety, and health of the students. the students will be allowed to attempt for the examination as per their date sheet by seating at their respective homes or any other place as per instructions provided.

Also, all the ex-students of choice based credit system (CBCS) three-year semester scheme students admitted in the year 2014, students of FYUP B.tech. and ex-students of SOL and NCWEB shall also appear for the OBE as per the date sheet. the syllabus will remain the same as at the time of admission.

The university notified that a detailed guideline of the Open book examination (OBE) along with the date sheet of UG shall be notified by the end of this month and will be available on the official website of DU i.e., www.du.ac.in. while the date for PG exams will be released by their respective departments, centre’s and faculty.

Also, a separate notification for the guidelines for the examination of the first and second year of UG courses and first year of PG courses shall be released in due course of time by the Delhi University as stated.
