DU Fights against COVID-19: Message to Students

With messages bombarding in almost every story on social media, the latest message regarding Covid-19 is from the Dean of Colleges, Balaram Pani. In the said message, he warns the students of the coronavirus second wave and requests them to follow proper guidelines. Pani asks the students to stay united and fight the circumstances with a positive mindset.

He further assures the fellows that the university is all for their betterment and has its students’ best interest at heart. The university shall ensure that the administration takes the academic year, examinations and related activities’ care to the maximum potential.

The dean further reminds the students of their responsibility as the country’s youth to serve the country and be dutiful towards it during these unprecedented times. Be it through spreading awareness, plasma donation, grocery distribution or taking charge of the young and the old.

Covid Vaccination Centers

The University of Delhi has committed to serving the nation in these troubling times. In the notification, dated 15th April 2021, the university has announced the establishment of vaccination centres on campus. In the notification signed by, Dr Sunil Chief Medical Officer, the two vaccination centres were mentioned.

COVID-19 Vaccination centres have been established at W.U.S. Health Centre (North Campus), and Shivaji College (W.U.S. Health Centre, West) W. E.F. 15th April 2021.

COVISHIELD vaccine at W.U.S. Health Centre (North Campus) and COVAXIN at Shivaji College (W.U.S. Health Centre, West) are accessible to those University employees and its affiliated Colleges who are above 45 years of age.

Vaccination facilities are also available at W.U.S. Health Centre (South Campus) for which one may contact Dr Rinku Mathur on Cell Number: 9810478374 W. E.F. 19.04.2021.

The two Vaccination Centers are operational between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
