Colleges reopening with safety measures After all security-related arrangements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Delhi (DU) is going to open soon. DU has issued a guideline to all the colleges regarding colleges reopening with safety measures. Final year students will be able to come to college from February 1 for practical work. However, only 50 per cent of students will have permission to enter the college at one time. In this regard, DU has also issued guidelines to the colleges.

Classes will be Continuing Online Even After Colleges Reopen 

DU in the guidelines states, that final year students have permission to enter only for practical work from February 1 to March 31. The colleges reopening with safety measures will take place in steps. However, during this period all students will continue their studies online as before. At the same time, the students must strictly follow the corona guidelines while entering the college campus. DU administration has sent directions to the colleges that coming to college will be optional for the students, college administration will not be able to create pressure on it.

Corona Task Force will Conduct Mock Drill For Safety Measures

DU has said in the guidelines issued to colleges that students will have to follow the guidelines related to protection from the corona. Under this, the college will have to arrange separate rooms. At the same time, the college would have to form a corona task force. Whereas in January, colleges will have to start preparations for the welcome of students. Under this, meetings will be held with teachers including college staff, and in view of COVID, mock drills will be happening in the college. The reports of the same will be sent to the DU administration. With this, the entrance of any student with corona symptoms to college will be restricted. At the same time, a regular counsellor should be arranged in colleges.
