DU SOL Admissions 2021: 65K Seats Secured

The DU SOL is one of India’s largest distance education institutes, having over 10 lakh students. Courses such as B.A. (Program), B.A. (Hons. ), B.Com, B.Com (Hons. ), M.A., M.Com, and many other UG and PG degrees in Arts and Commerce are available through the institutes’ departments. The students who need a flexible medium of instruction to achieve higher education and vocational skills can opt for the university’s distance education programme.

Founded in 1962, DU SOL sends registered students thorough study materials via email, with the same augmented by a Personal Contact Program (PCP) that is beneficial to its students.

The minimum qualifying criteria for BA, BA (H), and B.Com degrees for Admission 2021, in the School of Open Learning, is 10+2 with the required percentage of marks. All undergraduate courses have merit-based admissions. Subsequently, a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject is required for MA and M.Com courses.

PG Admissions are divided into two categories: entrance exam-based and merit-based. A total of 50% of PG seats are filled on a merit basis. The remaining 50% is based on the entrance examination.

Delhi University will close down the registration process for SOL Admissions 2021 on 15th December. Candidates who still haven’t applied for School of Open Learning can apply online on DU SOL’s official site, i.e.,  sol.du.ac.in. Till now 65,000 students have secured admission by paying fees.

According to the PTI report, over 2,500 students who have scored between 90 per cent and 100 per cent in Class 12th board exams have applied for DU’s school of open learning. Out of which 429 students have secured between 95 percent and 100 percent. The highest number of applicants being for B.Com (Honours).

Procedure of Application

  • Visit the official site of DU SOL on sol.du.ac.in.
  • Click on DU SOL Admission 2021 registration link available on the home page.
  • Fill in the required details and click on submit.
  • Once done, submit the examination fees.
  • Click on submit and download the confirmation page.
  • Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
