A group of students and teachers of Delhi University took up a march in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Many academicians and researchers participated in the march and pointed out the fact that these amendments and changes will make the citizenship law, less discriminatory. These changes are also aimed at giving justice to the minority community of the three neighbouring Islamic nations who had to flew their homeland because of the religious discrimination and persecution they faced in there and came to India to take refuge in India.
The pro-CAA students and teachers also criticised the violence that has been taking place in the anti-CAA protests. They have also given a statement that they would be organising programmes like seminars and conferences or online campaigns to spread more awareness about the Citizenship Amendment Bill, the changes required and the constitutional validity.
