According to the Secretary of DU AISA, Madhurima Kundu “CAB has come up to fulfill the agenda of RSS-BJP of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ of the Sangh Pariwar. Amit Shah has no power to tell people if they are the citizens of India or not. Also, the repression that the people in Assam are facing for protesting is against the spirit of democracy.”

This protest was joined by notable people of the Delhi University circuit including Sandipal Talukdar, a journalist from Assam, Sajjad Hussain, another journalist, Nandita Narain, former DUTA President and N Sukumar, DU Professor. They raised concern about the challenges that will be faced by people in Assam and the situation that has come up as of now. They claimed that CAB is another way of partition of India and takes away the essence of constitution and secularism.
