DUSU Elections 2018 : AAP-CYSS Manifesto Promises CCTV,Chattra Clinic & Violence Free Campus

The CYSS-AISA alliance released their manifesto for the DU student polls on Saturday and promised Chattra (student) Clinic in all DU colleges and assured CCTV surveillance.

At its press conference addressed by AAP and AISA,the members said they are coming together to fight against the onslaught of the centre against universities as well as money and muscle power in students politics.

The manifesto promised ‚Äúzero tolerance policy‚Äù against hooliganism on the campus,establishing Internal Complaints Committee (ICCs) to check cases of sexual harassment at the University, and launching a ‚Äúmovement against privatisation and commercialisation.”

Atishi Marlena,Senior AAP leader said “We will set up Chhatra clinics at the campus once we get elected in the DUSU.The clinics will be set up on the lines of Mohalla clinics.If we come to power,we will also ensure safety and security of the students by installing CCTV cameras in the campus”

AAP formed its government in Delhi in February 2015, its students wing had fought the DUSU elections but it had to face defeat.“We are going to provide special study material for the students coming from Hindi medium or any regional medium” said CYSS National President Sumit Yadav. The AISA too is supporting the installation of CCTV cameras for DUSU polls this year.

“In Delhi University,we are supporting the idea for a violence-free campus” Sucheta De,President of AISA was quoted as saying.
