Ex-DU Students Represent India In The Bayer Summit 2019

In the latest edition of Bayer Youth Summit which took place from 4th November to 6th November 2019 in Brazil, India was represented by two ex-Delhi University students.

The Youth Agriculture Summit is a part of an educational program that brings together individuals aged 18 to 25 from various countries to ponder over the challenges that are involved in feeding a growing population. The aim of the summit is to give a riveting experience to the young minds of how to manage a crisis situation and become change-makers. Besides students, the summit was attended by many experts from this field who gave insights into the agriculture industry.

A total of 2800 delegates applied from 140 countries. However, Bayer chose only 100 delegates from 45 countries after its rigorous selection process. The delegates belonged to varied fields such as students, teachers and entrepreneurs.

It was a proud moment for the University of Delhi was both the Indian delegates for the summit, Nithya Srinivasan and Raghav Sarin are ex-students of Economics at DU. Currently, Nithya is pursuing her masters from Yale University and Raghav is a UI/UX designer.

Both these students like all others in the summit are committed to making a world without hunger.
