A fake notice dated 2 July 2020 has made its way through various websites and WhatsApp groups.

The notice with the University of Delhi as its header and a forged signature of the Dean of Examinations states that the 2nd and 4th semester exams for the students of UG courses and SOL will be taking place in the coming first week of August considering the current public health scenario. The notice also states that the method of the examination will be online based or traditional offline based. The reason mentioned in the notification for conducting the examination is that if no examination is taken then it will deteriorate the performance of the regular students with good grades in the final year.
