Is DU Internet Ready? Server Issue At Some Centres While Admit Cards Not Available On Time

Delhi university held its first online entrance exam on 17 June 2018. Alot of confusion prevailed a day ahead of DUET for the students who had applied for various courses.art from the mode of examination, person with disabilty (PwD) complained about exam centres being allotted for different subjects on the same day. While some students claimed that they struggled to download the admit card,a few hours before the entrance exam.

The National Association of Blind (NAB) has taken up the issue wit DU.Vinay Gupta,Dean of Examination made clear DU had uploaded a schedule a month in advance, “Exams are held for 180 courses and some overlapped,if students did not check the schedule before then the University cannot do much” said Vinay Gupta.

In one of the exams held yesterday,a student complained to DU Express that the exam couldn’t start before 8:40 AM as the server wasn’t responding.The exam was scheduled to begin from 8 AM.

Around 1.43 lakh students have applied for various master programmes for which exams will be held. The Joint Admission Test (JAT) for the undergraduate courses is schedule from 22 June 2018.

All the technical problems that have been occuring,officials stated that they have established a technical help desks for the students who were facing problems while downloading their admit cards.
