Directed by Rohit Dhawan,¬†”Dishoom” is an action-adventure comedy film revolving around¬†two cops Kabir Shergill (John Abraham) and Junaid Ansari (Varun Dhawan) go for a 36-hour man hunt for¬†India’s top batsman Viraj (Saqib Saleem), who goes missing in Middle East, just before the final match between India and Pakistan.¬†

The much awaited film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Saleem and Akshaye Khanna. It also features superstar Akshay Kumar play a cameo, which is one of the highlights of the movie.

Though the story gets monotonous at places, but an interesting screenplay, spiced with all the commercial ingredients of an entertainer, keeps the audiences hooked to their seats.

John Abraham and Varun Dhawan are at their best in both, action and romance.¬†Abraham is tough and muscular while Varun’s comedy is over the top. Their bromance, at instances, reminds one of Munna-Circuit from Munnabhai franchise or Prem-Amar from Andaz Apna Apna.¬†

Meera Behl alias Ishika (Jacqueline Fernandez), is an ally to the twosome, who adds to the glamour quotient of the film. In addition to Fernandez, there’s also Nargis Fakhri who has done a cameo.¬†

The dialogues, written by Hussain Dalal are a hit in themselves and the music of the film, given By Pritam has been on top of the chartbusters for quite some time now. ‘Sau tarah ke’ and ‘Jaaneman Aah’ have become the new party anthems.

“Dishoom” has good production values. Ayananka Bose’s cinematography, beautiful locales, amazing choreography of action and dance sequences are the attractions on the technical front.

All in all, Dishoom is a fun watch — mostly because of the bromance between Kabir and Junaid, and the high octane action sequences that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
