Juxtapose is the Annual Academic Fest¬†of Department of Journalism at Lady Shri Ram College from 30th September to 1st October.
Juxtapose mainly aims at motivating us¬†to think about¬†issues which¬†are important to us as citizens and as well as burgeoning journalists. It is an open platform which¬†encourages the exchange of ideas, expression of thoughts¬†and statement of our own opinions about many important issues from human rights to capital punishment to even things like¬†online privacy.¬†
With the theme, ‚ÄòWhose media is it anyway?‚Äô This edition of Juxtapose will be solemnly dedicated to understanding the complexities of ownership patterns in the Media and Press, and further analyzing how it determines what makes it to the news.
There are various events to showcase your talents and witness other’s talents as well. Another great aspect of this academic fest being that it is bilingual in nature.
With interesting event like¬†All India Media Meet: A Media Themed Simulation,¬†Slam Poetry,¬†Ad-Mad¬†are all scheduled for 30th of September, which is this coming Friday. On Saturday, there are going be numerous¬†Panel Discussions¬†which include panelist like¬†Nidhi Kulpati,¬†Amitabha Singh,¬†Mr. Manu Joseph and Sevanti Ninan. They are not only leading names in the media industry but¬†are also constant sources of inspiration.
