A student of Delhi University has lodged a complaint of sexual harassment against the man sitting beside her in the DTC bus who was allegedly masturbating.The incident occurred on February 7 at 3 PM when the girl was travelling on the bus route of Vasant Vihar-IIT Delhi.
The victim complained that she was reading a book when she felt that her seat started shaking violently and that is when she noticed what the accused was doing.She also said that the man hid his actions from his bag but made his private parts visible to her and repeatedly touched her waist.She shouted at the accused but he pretended that ‘he didn’t understand it’ and none of the other passengers offered to help her and deliberately ‘ignored it’.
An FIR has been lodged in the Vasant Vihar Police Station under the sections 354 (Sexual Harassment),354A and 294 (Obscene act in public place) of the IPC.Investigation is being carried out but till now no arrest has been made.
The student caught the man’s action in her phone and uploaded the video on Twitter.
