Manchester United signs Ronaldo after a stunning transfer

In events enough to shake up the football world, Manchester United have won the race to get the Portugal captain on board. Manchester United have signed Ronaldo from Juventus on a two-year deal. Reportedly, the football star will be paid a massive €23 million.

“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical,” said the club, excited to have this star back again.

Earlier, the coach of Juventus Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that the player had no intention of continuing to play for the team. Reportedly, the club has offered the footballer a contract till June 2023. According to the sources of journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club will pay €15 million to the star, along with €8 million in add-ons as the transfer fee to Juventus.

In a farewell post, the star player posted: ‘Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe. I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days.’

Cristiano is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner with record-breaking wins. In the course of his career, he has won 30 major trophies including five UEFA Champions League titles and four FIFA Club World Cups. He has also gone on to win seven league titles in Italy, Spain and England and the European Championship for his native nation, Portugal.

Ronaldo had joined Juventus in 2018 with a contract till 2022 but was open to changing before this year’s transfer window finished. For the Italian Club, the footballer had scored an impressive 101 times in a total of 134 games across various competitions. Before his stint at Juventus, he had a wonderful spell at the giant Real Madrid where he was a part of a four times winning Champions League team. He also won two LaLiga trophies in 9 years. It is homecoming for the player at Old Trafford; they are excited to receive back the player who scored 118 goals in 292 games for Manchester United between 2003 and 2009. Earlier, rumours had been rife as the 36-year old footballer’s transfer had been strongly linked to United’s arch-rival Manchester City.

As Manchester United signs Ronaldo, there is immense hope for the club to take the ongoing Premier League by storm. In a twenty-four-hour whirlwind decision, Ronaldo has returned to Man Utd, with fans all over the world hoping to see him on fire. All eyes are trained on the player to see him dribble the ball right into the goal for the Red Devils.
