A meeting was held regarding the anti-ragging measures at North Campus on Friday. This meeting was attended by the Principals of all colleges along with some police officers to discuss the efforts to sensitise these topics amongst students.

This meeting was mainly attended by the Proctor, Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW), in-charge of welfare of foreign students, Principals, head of departments and anti-ragging members of all the Delhi University colleges.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Nupur Prasad said, “We discussed about the safety and security of the students with the Principals of their respective colleges and other officers of Delhi University.” She also added, “The anti-ragging committee will be vigilant and observant enough to look after the introductory session between the seniors and the juniors.”

In fact, Prasad also confirmed that the helpline numbers will be widely publicized. She also ensured that for the safety of the students on the campus, there will be a comprehensive security set-up along with which there will be an all-woman patrol and other police officers in the college area.
