Actress Sonakshi Sinha is back with her female-centric film Noor after Akira. Sonakshi is known for her phenomenal acting skills in movie Lootera. Actress says Noor is special movie for her,as she is playing a journalist role.

Star Cast : Sonakshi Sinha as Noor Roy Choudhary, Kanan Gill as Saad Sehgal, Purab Kohli as Ayan Banerjee, Manish Chaudhary as Shekhar, Shibani Dandekar as Zara Patel, Purab Kohli as Ayan Banerjee, Smita Tambe as Malti, Sunny Leone as herself (Cameo)

The movie starts with Noor complaining about her personal life(weight issues) as well as professional life.Youth can totally relate to Noor’s life. Noor is based on Novel “Karachi! You’re Killing Me”

Noor is a 28-year-old junior Correspondent with a news agency, but she wants to do issue-based journalism. She is always asked by her boss Shekhar (a man who once was a war reporter, but now has chosen desk job after marriage) to cover stories like Sunny Leone Interview,or a women who never takes off her helmet.

Saad and Zara are Noor’s Childhood friends. They both bring a positive vibe in the movie. This threesome awesome pair rocks the movie with their unbreakable friendship. Saad is seen in the movie as self made man and his comic timing is most liked in the movie,Zara plays a confident DJ she is refreshing and full of life.

Noor’s love life is struggling, and one day she finds love of her life Ayan, the charming hot boy who is Ex CNN Photo Journalist and CNN is a dream job of Noor she is seen trying hard in movie to get job at CNN.

Noor is sent out by her boss(shekhar) to do a positive story on a doctor but comes to know doctor is fraud from her maid Malti(Smita Tambe).Noor takes interview of Malti, telling doctor is fraud and how he is involved in organ-trade racket. Noor thinks she got her biggest story which could change her carrier in field of Journalism, but nothing is so easy in her life,Noor’s boy friend Ayan steals her story and get it published by his name. This story had the worse effect on life of Malti(maid) and his brother, who gets killed by the doctor and he moves freely after the so-called investigation which was a matter of day,as well as Noor who gets responsible for Malti’s brother death.

The first half ends on a promising note.Lines are mostly funny, humor is present in movie. The second half dips and gets boring as it goes in a investigative mode,Noor records a video “Mumbai You’re Killing Me” which tells how Mumbai is unsafe, polluted and reveals the fraudulent activity of doctor and he gets arrested.

Noor becomes famous journo, movie ends on a positive note with a good personal and professional life of Noor about which she was complaining in the first half of the movie. She gets her love partner in best friend Saad who proposed her in the end.Despite of movie having such catchy songs like Gulabi Ankhein as the party number and being a super duper hit,the movie failed to satisfy audience.

The movie is liked for it’s music and Sonakshi Sinha acting. The movie is quiet relatable. You must go meet Noor at theater.
