No Ladies Night At Hauz Khas Village Till Independence Day

In the last few years, Delhi’s nightlife has only got better and one of its most famous promotional event is the ‘ladies night’. If you are a newbie and don’t know about it, then ladies night usually happens on weekdays where many pubs free drinks to ladies and needless to say that its quite a big hit. I mean who doesn’t enjoy a good free drink? So what if I tell you that ladies nights are going to be banned soon?

Due to an incident reported by a woman on twitter where some men tried to abduct her at Hauz Khas area and only let her go when her friends and people intervened, the Delhi police came up with an ‘amazing’ solution to it. Putting an end to ladies night because as per them such events attract large crowd and “disrupt” the law and order of the city.

The police has appealed to put a ban on it atleast till Independence Day in view of general security and various terror attacks taking place in European nations. Not only this but there might be a check on alcohol being served to people below 25 years in the pubs in HKV area soon.

However the ban is not being appreciated by the people as it seems to be another case of ‘if you can’t protect the ladies, just stop them from going out’ rather than an effective and sensible step towards women safety.
