OBC Students Demand Reservation In Delhi University Hostels

Delhi University students are demanding reservation in hostels for students belonging to the Other Backward Classes category. The students claim that as per the UGC guidelines, there must be a reservation for the OBC category in the hostels. The students allege that the same hasn’t been implemented by Delhi University especially in the Post Graduate hostels.

Delhi University has a number of hostels for postgraduate students, namely Gwyer Hall, Mansarover Hostel, Meghdoot Hostel, Jubilee Hall, etc.

The admission in the postgraduate hostels is currently given on the basis of the rank secured by the applicant in the entrance exam.
