PG Admissions at DU to start from November 18

According to Delhi University’s official notice on its website, the admissions for postgraduate courses will commence from November 18 in its affiliated colleges. Candidates will be able to seek admissions on the basis of their scores in the entrance or on merit basis. Candidates seeking PG admissions in courses the offered will be admitted provisionally for entrance-based admissions, even if their undergraduate results are not declared. Aspirants are advised to check DU’s official website to know more.

According to the official notice by the university, students whose final year exam results have been declared by their respective colleges need to upload their results on their dashboard latest by 1 pm, November 16, for the PG admissions.

In case a tie occurs during the course of the admission, the candidate with the higher score in the qualifying exam will be preferred. However, if the tie still persists, then the candidates with a higher percentage in final year college exams will be preferred. Please note that applicants who have completed the qualifying examination from the University of Delhi are the only ones eligible for merit-based admission. Other candidates seeking admissions in DU have to appear for the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) which is conducted every year for Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions.

  • Admission against first merit list: November 18 – 20
  • Last day of payment: November 23
  • Admission against second merit list: November 25 – 27
  • Last day of payment: November 30
  • Admission against third merit list: December 2 – 4
  • Last day of payment: December 7
