Re-opening of Delhi University To be Decided in July 2020

University of Delhi: In bolstering the Ministry of Home Affairs’ (MHA) notification for the phased re-opening of the country, the University of Delhi has released a notification to comply with the regulations.

Educational institutions such as schools, colleges and coaching centres will re-open in the Second Phase after a comprehensive discussion with the States and the Union Territories of the country. The States and the Union Territories have been advised by the MHA to hold consultations with the stakeholders of the institutions including the students and their parents. The feedback will act as a backbone for the decision to re-open these institutions in the month of July 2020. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will draft a set of directives for these institutions to follow when the next academic session commences.

Complying with the order, the University of Delhi will continue the essential academic activities in the standstill while following the Academic Calendar. The decision to re-open the University will be released in the month of July 2020. Meanwhile, the logistical functioning of the University will be in accordance with the National Directives for Covid-19 Management, as mentioned by the Undersigned Acting Registrar of the University.
