UGC Increases Fellowship Amount Given To Junior 7 Senior Research Fellow

A good news for all NET JRF and SRF aspirants.As per the notification released on 3rd June, University Grants Commission has decided to hike the fellowship amount provided to the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF).

University Grants Commission (UGC) has increased the fellowship amount to Rs 31,000 from the current Rs 25,000 for JRF and Rs 35,000 from the current Rs 28,000 for SRF.

The house rent allowance (HRA) of fellows has also been increased. The HRA at the revised rate of 8 per cent, 16 per cent and 24 per cent is allowed as per the norms of the Government of India (GOI) as applicable in the city/location where research scholars are working.

Candidates who would qualify the NET JRF will get a stipend for a period of two years while SRF qualified aspirants will get the stipend for a period of three years.
