UGC NET Exam 2019 Preparation Tips

UGC Net Exam 2019 : UGC NET exam is gateway for entrance in teaching profession in colleges/universities and research. Candidates are advised to go through the given below preparation tips and follow them on a regular basis. Below we have provided the the list of UGC NET 2019 preparation tips which can be helpful for candidates while preparing.

1. Know The Exam Pattern

Mode of Exam : It will be conducted in Online (Computer Based Test) mode.
Session : The exam will take place in two sessions (Paper 1 & Paper 2).
Medium of Exam : The question booklet will be in both English & Hindi language.
Duration : The time duration for paper 1 will be 1 hour while for paper 2 it will be 2 hours.
Type of Questions : Objective type questions.
Number of Questions : Paper 1 will comprise of 50 questions while paper 2 with 100 questions. All questions are compulsory.
Marking Scheme : 2 marks will be awarded for each correct response for both paper 1 & 2.
Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the exam.

2. Check the syllabus

The NET Exam is administered in two phases (one paper in each phase). The Paper-I consists of General Aptitude Questions and Paper-II contains questions related to the concerned subject.Note down the complete UGC NET Syllabus of your concerned subject and review all the topics which you’ll have to cover to get good marks.Click here to check the syllabus.

-Don’t get screwed up with the topics out of the syllabus!
-Start with the topic you can cover faster.

3. Prepare notes

Preparing Short-Notes is the best way of practicing your syllabus in a short time and revise everything.You can write down important things and related facts and points. Using underlining and highlighting headings will help you to make better notes. Writing notes will also help you in remembering things.These notes will help you to quickly revise what you have learned.

4. Test your knowledge through solving past papers

To test your knowledge for what you’ve learned and understood, start teaching someone else. This will definitely help you in memorizing things for the long duration. You may help others in understanding difficult topics and solving tough questions.

5. Time Management

How to manage time before exams?

-It’s not necessary to study all the time, just make sure you fully concentrate and focus on what you are reading during your study hours.
-Schedule your daily routine at the first priority and allocate separate time to every section of syllabus to reduce confusion of what to read and what not.
-Daily Revision of what you have read the whole day long.
