Uttar Pradesh Government Bans Mobile Phones In Colleges

The Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has banned the use of mobile phones in colleges and Universities. A circular in this regard has been issued by the Directorate of Higher Education in Uttar Pradesh. The circular mentions a complete ban on the use of mobile phones inside universities and colleges.

The ban is also applicable on the teaching faculty and isn’t just limited to students.The decision has been taken to prevent students from being distracted. The decision is inspired by Yogi Adityanath’s own decision of banning the use of mobile phones during his cabinet meetings.

The decision has been taken to improve the concentration level but it is also being criticised  as a method to limit the freedom of students as well as teachers.
