Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES), the official e-cell at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College created a benchmark by successfully organising an event, Pitch.Partner.Prove on the lines of TVF Pitchers that took place in the college premises on 30th September 2016.
Execution of this extravaganza saw over 70 teams brainstorming and a footfall of over 200 people who participated or witnessed the event from various colleges and schools of Delhi NCR.
A team had to go through a path of four enthralling rounds to achieve success which kicked off by an investors-choice based question round followed by a mergers and acquisitions round where teams were given a company each and had to collaborate with one another for mutual benefits. Next came the jury round in which a team needed to convince the judges to buy the application allotted to them. It all came down to the last one, which was on the lines of Beer-pong and interestingly, a team either answered correctly or took a sip of the most bizarre drinks laid out.
After the participation of exuberant teams, following teams managed to hold spots:
WINNERS: Udai Kumar (VIPS, Kalkaji) & Naman Khemani (Sri Venkateshwara College )
RUNNERS-UP: Medha Dhall & Devyani Goel (Amity International, Saket)
3rd POSITION: Aditya Batra & Rohan Saneja (Shaheed Bhagat Singh College)
Position holders were awarded with a cash price of Rs.10,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively along with attractive coupons and vouchers worth Rs. 20,000 which were not only given to the position holders but it was made sure that every single team went back home with a prize.
The event was graced by the principal Dr.P.K Khurana and convener Dr.Anil Sardana, the effort of the organising team was lauded.
YES plans many such grandeur events that shall take place in the future with the main attraction being the annual fest ORENDA set to take place in February-March of 2017.
